How do I Register to Vote in Arkansas?

First off, make sure you qualify. To register to vote in Arkansas:

Be a U.S. citizen.
Be an Arkansas resident.
Be age 18 or turn 18 on or before the next election.
Not be a convicted felon whose sentence has not been discharged or pardoned.
Not be presently adjudged as mentally incompetent as to your ability to vote by a court of competent jurisdiction.

When submitting this form, your must attach either:

A photocopy of your driver’s license or Arkansas photo identification
The last four digits of your Social Security Number and a copy of one of:
- a current utility bill
- bank statement
- government check
- paycheck
- other government document that shows your name and address

When to Register You need to do this at least 30 days before the election — by October 4th

How Do I Apply to Mail in My Vote in Arkansas?

Fill out this form and mail it to your County Clerk with a copy of your valid state identification.

Make sure you remember:

You need to check “I will be unable to attend the polls on Election Day because of illness or physical disability” if you’re submitting an absentee vote because of Coronavirus

When to Apply This needs to arrive in the mail at least 7 days before the election — by October 27th.
You’ll want to do this sooner to make sure nothing gets lost in the mail.

How Do I Submit My Absentee Vote in Arkansas?

Make sure you’ve already submitted your application and chose for your ballot to be mailed to you.

As long as you’ve done this you’ll receive the ballot in the mail.

Once you’ve received your ballot, simply fill it out and mail it to your County Clerk with a copy of your state-issued photo identification.

When to Submit Absentee ballots must be received by 7:30PM on the day of the election — so received by November 3rd.
You’ll want to fill out and send this back ASAP.

Dates to Remember

You must register to vote by Sunday, October 4th.

You should mail in your absentee ballot application by Tuesday, October 20th — your local County Clerk needs to receive your application by Thursday, October 27th.

You should return your actual absentee ballot as soon as possible — it must be received by 7:30PM on Wednesday, November 3rd.
